If you have outdoor plans for Sunday, you might want to think twice.
Tropical Storm Olga has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and will bring the tri-state heavy rain this weekend, according to Storm Team 4’s latest forecast.
Not only is Sunday expected to be rather wet, but breezy as well, with highs topping the upper 60s, Storm Team 4 says.
The National Hurricane Center will initiate advisories on Tropical Storm Olga, which located over the western Gulf of Mexico as of 10 a.m. Friday.
Tropical Storm Olga is going to tap into the tropical moisture and merge with the cold front as it moves its way up north, Storm Team 4 says. By Saturday into Sunday, it will move into the tri-state area.
While Sunday is expected to be a washout, with 1 to 2 inches of rain across a good portion of the area, we’ll see the end of the rain Monday. Although, there could be a slight chance of showers on Tuesday, Storm Team 4 says.
