The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is committed to providing support to farmers, ranchers and Texans during times of need, most recently during the Tropical Storm Imelda aftermath. AgriLife Extension personnel helped distribute donated hay to more than 4,500 head of stranded cattle in Chambers and Jefferson counties. The agency also supported animal shelters established in both counties.
